- Read Governor Paterson and the CPB Chairperson and Executive Director’s statement regarding these new reforms
- Read the CPB's press release inviting consumers to report whether credit card companies have started to change terms, raise fees, assess higher interest rates or have taken other preemptive actions prior to the effective dates of new credit card protections
- Have your credit card interest rates or other fees gone up since the law
was passed? While we await the implementation of the new protections, we are
asking consumers to complete a brief survey to help the CPB keep track of credit

- Follow the leading advocacy efforts of the CPB and read the Agency’s testimony to credit regulators and Congress

- Visit the CPB’s Debt Collection Information Center to access information on consumer rights regarding debt collectors, debt collection procedures related to identity theft, common debt collection questions and problems, and more
